Karen and Jackie visited the Kent Lake Elementary School, in South Lyons, on February 28, 2023, for a school authors’ visit.
The sport of pickleball had been introduced to the students by the physical education teacher, Kristen Laird. Older students had numerous questions about the writing process, and we hope to return to have further discussions on the writing process.
Of course, we had to get the students and teachers out on the floor and put paddles and balls in their hands! We created stations around the gym to accommodate the number of students, but they all had fun and wanted more.
