Authors Karen Worthy and Jackie Freeman held a pickleball demonstration and book presentation on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at the Boys & Girls Club of Lenawee. The students enjoyed learning and playing pickleball.
Karen and Jackie discussed the writing aspect of the book and how the illustrator, Kevin Fales, created illustrations that made their words come to life. Several students shared their enjoyment of drawing.
Jackie and Karen are actively assisting the club in their purchase of nets, pickleballs, and paddles. The Boys & Girls Club will paint three pickleball courts on the gym floor, and the playing will begin. So excited to see Lenawee County support the youth pickleball programs.
